ATLANTA, GA -- The Atlanta Wildcats are excited to announce the hiring of Marty Culpepper as the team’s new Head Football Coach for the upcoming 2025 National Gridiron League season. A veteran leader with a remarkable coaching pedigree, Culpepper brings decades of experience from the professional football ranks, high school sidelines, and national collegiate all-star games.
Coach Culpepper’s appointment marks a major step forward in building a competitive and disciplined football program that reflects Atlanta's pride and energy. His extensive resume includes successful tenures in professional spring and indoor football leagues, where he developed a reputation for preparing players at the highest level and turning underdog rosters into championship contenders.
“Marty Culpepper is the kind of leader who elevates everyone around him,” said National Gridiron League President Joe McClendon III. “His experience, work ethic, and commitment to excellence make him the perfect fit to lead the Wildcats as we build something special for our fans and this city.”
Culpepper’s success spans far beyond the professional stage. He has led multiple high school programs to winningseasons and postseason runs while also serving as a mentor to student-athletes on and off the field. In addition, he has held coaching positions at several national collegiate all-star games, where he has worked with elite college talent and prepared athletes for the next level of competition.
“I’m honored to be named head coach of the Atlanta Wildcats,” said Culpepper. “This is a tremendous opportunity to build a program from the ground up with a focus on hard work, character, and winning football. The city of Atlanta deserves a team it can be proud of, and we’re going to give everything we have to make that happen.”
With training camp on the horizon and anticipation building for the 2025 season, Coach Culpepper is already assembling his coaching staff and evaluating talent. The Wildcats are preparing to bring fast, physical, and exciting football to the field this spring, and Culpepper’s leadership will be the cornerstone of the team’s identity.
The Atlanta Wildcats will play their home games at Kiwanis Stadium in Forest Park, Georgia. The team is committed to delivering a first-class experience for fans, families, and football lovers throughout the metro Atlanta area.
